Food stains like mustard, can be very difficult to remove, especially when you treat them improperly. It is important to use a stain remover that is not only suitable for mustard stains but also gentle on fabrics. Here is how to make your own cleaning solution to clean up mustard stains from fabric, saving time on running between the market’s aisles in search for the right commercial stain remover.
    Instructions

    1. Mix ¾ cup of liquid dish soap and ¼ cup of rubbing alcohol in a bowl. Stir the ingredients using a spoon.
    2. Place a stack of several paper towels on a flat surface and lay the stained garment on them with the stain face up. Make sure the paper towels are right beneath the stain, as their purpose is to absorb the stain and the cleaning solution used to remove the stain.
    3. Saturate the mustard stain with your cleaning solution and let it undisturbed for about 10 minutes, as suggested by cleaners Shoreditch.
    4. Pour  hot water on the affected area and then blot with a clean, white cloth or paper towels to rinse the soap.
    5. Place the garment into your washing machine and launder it as usual.
    6. Hang the fabric outside to dry. Once the garment is dry, examine it and repeat the process if the stain is still visible.

Note: Cleaners Shoreditch do not recommend putting the stained clothing in the dryer before the mustard stain is completely gone because the heat can set the stain permanently into the fabric.
